Dr James Tan graduated from the University of Queensland in 2009.
James underwent his training as a junior doctor at the Ballarat Base Hospital. It was during this period that he completed his Masters of Surgical Education (2013).
Since then, James has travelled around Australia as a locum Registrar in both Emergency Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery before settling down in Launceston to undertake Specialist Training in General Practice.
He obtained his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practice in 2019.
